Certification system according to EN ISO 9712: 2022
Certification schemes are developed in accordance with the quality manual of the C-WT Certification Body for persons and in accordance with the requirements of the standard STN EN ISO / IEC 17024: 2013.
Certification procedure:
The applicant applies for certification by completing form AJ_FO 08 Application for certification of NDT personnel.
The application must be accompanied by:
- the evidence of completion previous training in accordance with the requirements of standard EN ISO 9712: 2022
- proof of sufficient visual ability – FO 11
- confirmation of industrial NDT experience – part of the form FO 08
- proof of the highest education achieved (if it affects the scope of training or length of required practice)
Eligibility for issuing the certificate is demonstrated by the candidate by conducting the examination to verify the professional knowledge. The exam consists of a written and practical part. The written test for level 3 is divided into the basic exam and the main method examination.
In the case of successfully accomplished examination, the supervisor of the examination recommends to issue certificate to the candidate.
The certificate can only be issued to a person who signs the form FO 15 Agreement and conditions for the use of the certificate. The certificate is valid for 5 years, under the conditions that the certified person uses his/her certificate in accordance with this agreement, maintains regular contact with the certifying authority, provides him/her the information and documents required by this agreement, and if the certified person does not lose physical fitness due to loss of required visual skills.
After 5 years certificate can be extended by 5 years. After 10 years of initial certification, recertification is required.

One day duration is at least seven hours, which can be achieved on a single day or by accumulating hours. The maximum allowable hours in any one day is 12 hours. Experience in days is achieved by dividing the total accumulated hours by 7.
The possibilities of shortening the required practice length are described in standard EN ISO 9712: 2022, but not more than 50% of the originally requested time. |
